Edith Baumann: Random Structure #92 2014, raw pigment on canvas
Charlotte Jackson Fine Art, 554 S. Guadalupe St., 505-989- 8688 Edith Baumann’s paintings are deceptively complex. She uses multiple layers of color to achieve a monochromatic effect in works that explore relationships of color and form. Her paintings suggest hidden planes of pattern and color, giving the sense that her compositions are part of a large construct. Painting the Unseen, Baumann’s first solo exhibit at Charlotte Jackson, opens Friday, March 25, with a 5 p.m. reception.
