New Mexico Museum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave., 505-476-5072 The museum’s Alcoves exhibitions continue, with five solo shows opening on Friday, April 29. Alcoves 16/17 isa yearlong series in which five artists exhibit their work for seven weeks. Alcoves 16/17.2 includes work by Philip V. Augustin, Stephen Davis, Katherine Lee, Walter Robinson, and Jack Slentz. These shows began in the early days of the NMMoA, founded in 1917, and have been reintroduced at various times throughout its history. The cycle of shows is in anticipation of the museum’s centennial in 2017. The free public opening is at 5 p.m.
