Argos Studio/Gallery and Santa Fe Etching Club, 1211 Luisa St., 505-988-1814 In Barbizon to Santa Fe, Argos explores the influence of the French Barbizon school on Impressionism and naturalism. The exhibit includes works by American printmakers, whose subject matter during the late-19thcentury etching revival reflected the working- class subjects and commonplace themes of the Barbizon artists. The show includes etchings by Peter Moran, whose views of Santa Fe and regional pueblos are among the earliest made by an Anglo-American artist. Collector and exhibit donor Robert Bell delivers a free talk at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 8. Space is limited and reservations are suggested. The exhibit coincides with the 41st annual meeting of the American Historical Print Collectors Society (May 11-16) at La Fonda.
