THIS WILL GENERALLY BE A CHEERFUL, upbeat, and sociable week. After a wandering Memorial Day weekend, we can get some momentum going.

But toward what? Over the last month, a retrograde Mercury has encouraged us to be introspective and review our life, to look at what’s working and what’s not. This holiday weekend, a sensitive, dreamy Pisces moon gives us a chance to let go of the tense strands of our life, break routine, and get a bit of distance so we can talk things out and reenvision the next steps of our life.

Starting Monday, it’s time to organize those next steps forward, whether we’re thinking about a summer vacation, work, or a political campaign. An innovative Aries moon riles us up early next week, making it a great time to launch proposals and instigate change. People will be in a decision-making mode, so get that résumé or great idea on the table. The energy calms down after Wednesday as the moon enters earthy Taurus, but we may deal with a temporary relapse of dreamy confusion as the sun and Venus square intuitive Neptune.

Optimistic momentum builds on a good day. We hit a bumpy road as energizing Mars retrogrades back into deep-thinking Scorpio this weekend and through Aug. 4. Mars in Scorpio can bring great focus to our work, but it does have a dark side.

If somebody crosses our path, we remember every time they’ve done so in the past. This attitude can help us hold people accountable, but can also distract us from staying on task. If we feel old resentments wasting our time, let’s assess the situation and decide if we need to take action.

FRIDAY, MAY 27: This morning brings productive conversations and useful meetings. Communication jams up briefly around noon as the moon squares Mercury; our attention wanders and irrational stubbornness tangles negotiations. Evening grows more sociable with last-minute spontaneity.

SATURDAY, MAY 28: This morning is collaborative and chatty, as long as we don’t push people to open up. Early-afternoon willfulness encourages us to go our own way as the moon squares Mars. Feelings are sensitized as the moon enters Pisces tonight. Keep the agenda open.

SUNDAY, MAY 29: Commune with nature this dreamy morning — just don’t expect efficiency as the moon conjuncts intuitive Neptune. We may get more serious and competent in the afternoon as the moon squares Saturn, but the less we expect the better.

MONDAY, MAY 30: Gear up slowly. Many decisions will be made in the next few days, so it’s time to get proposals out. The energy speeds up as the day progresses and the moon enters impulsive Aries; Mercury trines Pluto and brings penetrating conversations but with recalcitrant opinions.

TUESDAY, MAY 31: What does opportunity mean to us? Let’s think about what we need most in the long run — shall we spend today’s positive aspects savoring a summery moment or bring curiosity and creativity to our collaborative projects?

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1: We tend to be impulsive and impatient as the moon conjuncts Uranus in direct Aries, but have trouble seeing where we’re going as the sun squares unrealistic Neptune. Cautious enthusiasm and foresight matter; stay centered and think three steps ahead. The mood slows down and grows earthier as the moon enters Taurus tonight.

THURSDAY, JUNE 2: The mood is sensitive and imaginative, if over-impressionable as Venus squares dreamy Neptune. We’re unusually creative, but our judgment might be off. Explore options, but stay open to new information.
