Jamie Brunson: Oasis

Turner Carroll Gallery, 725 Canyon Road, 505-986-9800 Roy G. Biv isn’t the name of an artist, but it is a helpful way to remember the colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. It’s also the title of the latest exhibition at Turner Carroll, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. The show features works by artists whose use of color is dynamic and bold: Fausto Fernandez, who creates mixed-media compositions with colors enhanced by diamond dust; Jamie Brunson, who explores patterns and tones in rich, saturated, often monochromatic color; and Robert Townsend, who creates hyper-realistic, retro watercolors. The reception for Roy G. Biv is at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 24.
