Ad­di­son Rowe Gallery, 229 E. Marcy St., 505-982-1533 Not Fa­mous But Im­por­tant ,a two-per­son show of works by Lawrence Calcagno and Louis Ca­tusco, opens Fri­day, July 29. Calcagno, a for­mer stu­dent of Clyf­ford Still and Richard Diebenkorn, lived in nu­mer­ous lo­ca­tions around the world — in­clud­ing Taos — and his work is in­spired by the friends he made dur­ing his many trav­els. Ca­tusco, who also spent time in Taos, lived a monas­tic life­style. Af­ter win­ning sev­eral awards for his art, he be­came reclu­sive and stopped ex­hibit­ing, although he con­tin­ued to paint. The open­ing re­cep­tion for the ex­hi­bi­tion is at 5 p.m.
