Heiner Thiel: Untitled-WVZ601
2015, anodized aluminum
Charlotte Jackson Fine Art, 554 S. Guadalupe St., 505-989-8688 German artists Heiner Thiel and Michael Post collaborate in the exhibition Vicissitudes of Color. The show examines the relationship between color and two- and three-dimensional form, and the artists’ geometric wall sculptures explore color changes in extraordinary ways. In Thiel’s curved, rectangular forms, color varies with the movement of the observer; Post’s works are colored only on the back, where light casts shadows in different hues on the wall behind. The show opens Friday, Aug. 5. The artists’ reception is at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26.
