New Mex­ico His­tory Mu­seum, 113 Lin­coln Ave., 505-476-5200 The mu­seum ex­hibit Frac­tured Faiths: Span­ish Ju­daism, The In­qui­si­tion, and New World Iden­ti­ties tells the story of Sephardic Jews, faced with ex­ile un­der King Fer­di­nand in the 15th cen­tury, who sought a new life in the Amer­i­cas to es­cape re­li­gious per­se­cu­tion. A free sym­po­sium at the mu­seum ex­plores the themes of the show, with talks by his­to­ri­ans, an­thro­pol­o­gists, mu­si­cians, and ge­neal­o­gists. The sym­po­sium is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fri­day, Sept. 9, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Satur­day, Sept. 10; for more in­for­ma­tion, call 505-476-5082. The ex­hibit is up through De­cem­ber.
