2012, porce­lain bone china SITE Santa Fe, 1606 Paseo de Per­alta, 505-989-1199 The sec­ond ex­hi­bi­tion in the SITE­lines bi­en­nial series, much wider than a line, con­tin­ues through Jan. 8, 2017. The show com­prises works by 35 con­tem­po­rary artists from 16 coun­tries. The SITE­lines bi­en­ni­als fo­cus on the art of the Amer­i­cas. much wider than a line is or­ga­nized around themes of in­ter­con­nect­ed­ness and shared ex­pe­ri­ences of peo­ples along the Pan-Amer­i­can High­way, ex­pressed in terms of ver­nac­u­lar art, colo­nial lega­cies, and in­dige­nous knowl­edge of the land. The show is by ad­mis­sion. Up­com­ing pro­grams in­clude Fran­cisca Ben­itez’s Moe­bius Path, a walk from SITE to the Ken­neth E. Brasel Cen­ten­nial Mu­seum on the cam­pus of the New Mex­ico School for the Deaf and then back to SITE for an Amer­i­can Sign Lan­guage po­etry slam. The free event starts at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30.
