2012, porcelain bone china SITE Santa Fe, 1606 Paseo de Peralta, 505-989-1199 The second exhibition in the SITElines biennial series, much wider than a line, continues through Jan. 8, 2017. The show comprises works by 35 contemporary artists from 16 countries. The SITElines biennials focus on the art of the Americas. much wider than a line is organized around themes of interconnectedness and shared experiences of peoples along the Pan-American Highway, expressed in terms of vernacular art, colonial legacies, and indigenous knowledge of the land. The show is by admission. Upcoming programs include Francisca Benitez’s Moebius Path, a walk from SITE to the Kenneth E. Brasel Centennial Museum on the campus of the New Mexico School for the Deaf and then back to SITE for an American Sign Language poetry slam. The free event starts at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 30.
