Alison Keogh: Indigo Grid #1 2016, indigo and sumi ink on paper

Pasatiempo - - PASA WEEK -

William Siegal Gallery, 540 S. Guadalupe St., 505-820-3300 In Pixels, Santa Fe-based Alison Keogh’s fourth solo exhibition at William Siegal, she presents compositions in which she merges spontaneous marks made by throwing, pouring, and dripping ink, using the order and structure of grid patterns. “A grid, as an artificial device for organizing material, creates structure, and from its repetitive nature generates its own rhythm,” she writes. “It is a way to clarify individual elements by separation, while holding them together as a unified whole.” Pixels opens with a 5 p.m. reception on Friday, Sept. 30.
