The show includes works from Monroe’s archives as well as images that have never been exhibited, from the early 20th century to the present day. The show features previously unshown photographs by Tony Vaccaro, who documented World War II as a soldier. He is the subject of an upcoming HBO Films documentary, Underfire: The Untold Story of Pfc. Tony Vaccaro, which premieres in November. History in a Moment also includes works by Margaret Bourke-White, Alfred Eisenstaedt, Carl Mydans, and more. The show opens on Friday, Sept. 30.
