Blue Rain Gallery, 544 S. Guadalupe St., 505-954-9902 In the exhibit Rogues and Reinas, Santa Febased artist Erin Currier continues her exploration of sociopolitical themes through portraiture. Currier’s works combine painting and collaged elements, including refuse collected in her travels to more than 50 countries. The exhibition includes portraits of regional people who have overcome issues of race, class, and identity to triumph in their fields and works that pay homage to Hispanic and indigenous people who have had an impact on New Mexico culture. Friday, Sept. 30, is the last day to see Rogues and Reinas. A reception for Blue Rain’s Jim Vogel exhibition Ludlow: Labor, Liberty, and Loss also takes place on Friday at 5 p.m. Vogel is a recipient of the 2016 Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts.
