Música ecléctica: Barrio Lindo

Pasatiempo - - RANDOM ACTS -

Barrio Lindo — also known as Agustín Rivaldo — is an Argentinean musician who blends elements of electronica, folklore, musical ecology, found sound, pop, and dance rhythms into a stripped-down vibrational yet danceable experience. His music highlights traditional influences from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, and Colombia, where Rivaldo has lived and traveled. Barrio Lindo plays with Uji (Luis Maurette), a nomadic Argentinian producer and creator of electronic music influenced by South American indigenous ritual compositions, at the Meow Wolf Art Complex (1352 Rufina Circle, 505-395-6369) at 9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10. DJ Erin E of Santa Fe, who also contributes to the show, shares Rivaldo’s and Maurette’s fascination with naturally occurring sounds and the sampling of indigenous instrumentation. Admission to the twenty-one-andover show is $12 in advance and $15 at the door; purchase tickets at www .meowwolf.com. — Jennifer Levin
