Guadalupe St., 505-954-9902 Reclusive artist Alberto Valdés (19181998), a modernist who worked out of the same Los Angeles studio for 55 years but never exhibited his paintings, is beginning to get his due as his works are slowly coming to light. Attention first began being paid to Valdés when his work was included in the Getty Museum’s celebration of Southern California culture, Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980. Blue Rain’s show of selected works by Valdés opens with a 5 p.m. reception on Friday, Dec. 30, in the gallery’s Railyard location.
