Aaron Payne Fine Art, 213 E. Marcy St., 505-995-9779 The ex­hi­bi­tion of paint­ings by Earl Stroh con­tin­ues through Jan­uary. Stroh, a Taos Mod­ernist, stud­ied un­der Ran­dall Davey, Ray­mond Jon­son, and Ken­neth Miller Adams in New Mex­ico, but he con­sid­ered Andrew Das­burg his men­tor. His at­mo­spheric, ab­stract works on pa­per con­vey a sense of land­scape us­ing a min­i­mal use of line and sub­tle forms and color. The ex­hibit in­cludes sev­eral of the com­po­si­tions Stroh made in Taos.
