In En­fras­cada, a play by Tanya Sara­cho, a trio of gal pals — Ali­cia (Roxanne Tapia), Ye­se­nia (Juliet Salazar), and Carolina (Alix Hud­son) — de­cide to visit a tra­di­tional root doc­tor for a lit­tle help with love. At first it is a lark, a bit of an­thro­po­log­i­cal ex­per­i­men­ta­tion, but soon Ali­cia is putting her faith in a san­tera and get­ting in­creas­ingly ob­sessed with win­ning back her ex-boyfriend while her friends grow con­cerned. En­fras­cada, which is en­sem­bledi­rected by the cast, opens Thurs­day, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. at Teatro Paraguas Stu­dio (3205-B Calle Marie) Per­for­mances are on Thurs­days, Fri­days, and Satur­days at 7:30 p.m. and Sun­days at 3 p.m. through March 12.
