The Short Order

Sabor Peruano promises a taste of traditional Peruvian cuisine and delivers just that — an assortment of comfort foods that revolve around potatoes, corn, quinoa, and ají amarillo, an indigenous goldenorange chile that flavors almost everything on the menu. The service can be slow, but the owners’ cheerful, welcoming attitude and the bright surroundings make the wait worthwhile. Recommended: lomo saltado, causa rellena limeña, all the soups, chicha morada, coffee, and flan. The Saturday off-menu special is also worth asking about.
