Sergio Moyano: Atlanta Suite 22 monotype
Santa Fe Community College Visual Arts Gallery, 1601 Richards Ave., 505-428-1501 Etchings, monotypes, watercolors, drawings, and paintings by Sergio Moyano are on view in A Lifetime in the Making, a retrospective exhibit of the artist’s works. Born in Argentina in 1934, Moyano became interested in Op Art and abstraction and developed his printmaking skills at Ron Adams’ Hand Graphics shop in Santa Fe in the 1970s. According to a statement from Center for Contemporary Arts’ executive director Stuart Ashman, Moyano’s “work has reached a maturation found only in the art of masters who have dedicated a lifetime to their artistic endeavors.” The show is up through April 19. Moyano gives a talk in the gallery on Thursday, March 9, at 1 p.m.
