2014, bronze Mu­seum of In­dian Arts & Cul­ture, 710 Camino Lejo, 505-476-1269 Santa Clara Pue­blo pot­ter Jody Naranjo has been named MIAC’s Liv­ing Trea­sure for 2017. She’s the fea­tured artist for the an­nual Na­tive Trea­sures art show, which opens on May 26 at the Santa Fe Com­mu­nity Con­ven­tion Cen­ter. Naranjo, who is rep­re­sented by Blue Rain Gallery, learned pot­tery tech­niques pri­mar­ily from fe­male rel­a­tives and an­ces­tors. MIAC presents a lobby ex­hi­bi­tion of Naranjo’s sculp­ture and pot­tery, Jody Naranjo: Re­veal­ing Joy. A pub­lic open­ing of the show on Sun­day, April 2, is free for New Mex­ico res­i­dents; the ex­hibit continues through 2017.
