Ilona Pachler: #3 Sunny NM 2013, serigraph on board
Art.i.factory, 930-C Baca St., 505-982-5000 International Slow Art Day — a day to visit galleries and museums and take your time looking at art — coincides with the Saturday, April 8, opening of local artist Ilona Pachler’s solo exhibit Memory, Places, and Measures. The show of prints and sculpture is, in part, inspired by three places Pachler has called home: Linz, Austria; New York City; and Santa Fe. She examines notions of distance and how memory of place changes over time. The reception is at 4 p.m.
Pachler also participates in a Slow Art Day discussion starting at 11 a.m. the same day, in which viewers look at five works for 10 minutes each and then meet with Pachler at Counter Culture Cafe (930 Baca St., #1), next door to Art.i.factory, to discuss them. There is no charge for the event; reserve a place at style@artifact santafe.com.
