The Wizard of Oz
Follow the yellow brick road to the Armory for the Arts Theater (1050 Old Pecos Trail) for a trip from Kansas to Oz and back again, as Dorothy Gale — and her little dog, Toto — are whirled to a dreamscape of sentient tinmen and scarecrows, talking lions, and flying monkeys. In this magical land, Dorothy is sent by an untrustworthy wizard to take down a very wicked witch. Santa Fe Performing Arts City Different Players and Teen Ensemble present the nonmusical version of L. Frank Baum’s classic,
in its final weekend, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30. Tickets are $8; call 505-984-1370. — J.L.
