Belle Carpenter and Tasha Ostrander: Pavilion No. 9 2012, light-jet print mounted to plexiglass
Bodhi Bazaar, 564 N. Guadalupe St., DeVargas Center, 505-982-3880 In 2011, artist Tasha Ostrander photographed a series of frescos developed by her mother, Belle Carpenter, made under the project name Rinalda and Arabella. Ostrander reinterpreted the frescos using liquid computer software to develop them into a series of prints. Carpenter entered further collaboration with designer and embroiderer Asif Shaikh to take her images and turn them into wearable art and embroidered tapestries. The pop-up exhibit of the collaborative works, Belle Carpenter and Rinalda & Arabella, curated by Brave Art Consulting, opens Friday, May 12, with a reception at 5 p.m.
