Give ‘em shelter: Dog Days of Summer
The second annual Dog Days of Summer, a fundraiser for the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, is fun for the whole family — including the barking, wagging, four-legged members. The event, held at The Bridge at Santa Fe Brewing Company (37 Fire Place), begins at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4. The Native reggae band Innastate plays at 3:30 p.m.; followed by Greyhounds, a duo from Austin, at 4:30 p.m.; Albuquerque’s Red Light Cameras play their version of garage-pop-rock at 6 p.m.; and headliners MarchFourth, a rollicking 20-member group of musicians and dancers, take the stage at 7 p.m. Dog Days of Summer also features an on-site “activation” by the Meow Wolf art collective, games for dogs and humans, food trucks, assorted vendors, and face painting, among other attractions. Admission is $21 in advance at www.sfhumanesociety .org; $26 on the day. For more information, call 505-983-4309, Ext. 230. — J.L.
