Irene Kung: Palma Rosa
2017, pigment print on rag paper Chiaroscuro Contemporary Art, 558 Canyon Road, 505-992-0711 Irene Kung is a former painter who turned her focus to photography, wherein she creates works that accentuate the beauty and form of her subjects. Kung uses digital manipulation to create nondescript atmospheric backgrounds in lights and darks, lending her works a sense of mystery. Her latest solo exhibit is a show of seven large-scale photographs. Trees opens Friday, June 9, with a 5 p.m. reception.
