Baritone Jared Bybee, accompanied by conductor Robert Tweten, brings a taste of Santa Fe Opera to El Museo Cultural de Santa Fe (555 Camino de la Familia, 505-992-0591) with an excerpt of The (R)evolution of

Steve Jobs by composer Mason Bates and librettist Mark Campbell. The opera, which has its premiere at SFO on July 22, looks at the life of the Apple co-founder, weaving back and forth through time to present a portrait of an entrepreneur who created one of the world’s most successful tech companies and revolutionized the world but who embodied the dichotomies of cruelty and compassion, as well as visionary brilliance, cold calculation, and business savvy. The music is followed by a talk with SFO’s chorus master Susanne Sheston. The free event is held in conjunction with Currents New Media and takes place at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 24. — Michael Abatemarco
