String theory: Mohit Dubey
Mohit Dubey, who hails from Los Alamos, is about to begin his junior year at Oberlin College and Conservatory of Music in Ohio, where he divides his attention between physics and classical guitar. He offers a recital of guitar music at the San Miguel Chapel (401 Old Santa Fe Trail) at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 1. On the docket are works by Bach (his Suite in E minor), the 19th-century guitar and concertina master Giulio Regondi, the 20th-century Venezuelan Antonio Lauro, and the recently departed French guitarist Roland Dyens. Tickets ($10, children free) can be had at the door.
