Bryan Whitney: Nasturtium 2011, archival pigment on watercolor paper
David Richard Gallery, 1570-A1 Pacheco St., 505-983-9555 Artist Bryan Whitney uses an X-ray machine to create images of botanicals and other objects. The blackand-white pictures are digitally altered and colored. After the X-ray captures the internal structures of his subjects, Whitney’s artistic process transforms them into translucent, ephemeral works on paper. His exhibition X-Ray Vision is on view through July 29 and runs concurrently at the gallery with Colin Cochran: Bird in Hand and the group show History/Her Story.
