Two no­table pi­anists of the un­der­forty gen­er­a­tion present noon­time recitals this week for the Santa Fe Cham­ber Mu­sic Fes­ti­val. On Tues­day, Aug. 8, the stage be­longs to Kir­ill Ger­stein, who will play Brahms’ im­pos­ing Pi­ano Sonata No. 2 and the First Book of De­bussy’s Pre­ludes. On Thurs­day, Aug. 10, it is to be oc­cu­pied by Jonathan Biss, who of­fers three Beethoven sonatas that cover a broad span of the com­poser’s pro­duc­tion: in A ma­jor (Op. 2, No. 2), from 1796; in E mi­nor (Op. 90), from 1814; and in A-flat ma­jor (Op. 110), from 1821. Both take place in the St. Fran­cis Au­di­to­rium (New Mex­ico Mu­seum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave.).
