Through the cen­turies: Inon Bar­natan

Pi­anist Inon Bar­natan, an au­di­ence fa­vorite at the Santa Fe Cham­ber Mu­sic Fes­ti­val, has put to­gether a thought-pro­vok­ing playlist for his ap­pear­ance this year. His noon recital on Thurs­day, Aug. 17, fea­tures rel­a­tively short works or move­ments by seven com­posers (Bach, Han­del, Rameau, François Couperin, Ravel, Thomas Adès, and Bar­ber) be­fore it cul­mi­nates in Brahms’ im­pos­ing, nearly half-hour-long Vari­a­tions and Fugue on a Theme by Han­del. The recital takes place in St. Fran­cis Au­di­to­rium (New Mex­ico Mu­seum of Art, 107 W. Palace Ave.).
