Organist Fred Graham performs a half-hour recital as part of the weekly TGIF series at First Presbyterian Church (208 Grant Ave.), at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1. Earlier this year he assumed the post of organist and choir director at La Mesa Presbyterian Church in Albuquerque. Mendelssohn’s Organ Sonata No. 2 is the chief work on his program, which also includes Sweelinck’s variations on the German drinking song and the suite by Gwyneth Walker, commissioned for the American Guild of Organists national convention of 2010.
