Evelyne Boren: Backroad to Ranchos de Taos

Acosta Strong Fine Art, 640 Canyon Road, 505-982-2795 Evelyne Boren, a former aquatic diver and stunt double in James Bond films and other productions, and the first woman to swim with a killer whale (for the movie Namu, the Killer Whale), creates surprisingly tranquil paintings. She turned to art in 1962, inspired while filming in the Bahamas. Her impressionistic renderings of Europe, Mexico, and the Southwest are exhibited internationally. A solo show, Expressions, opens with a 5 p.m. reception on Friday, Sept. 15.
