There is some­thing nos­tal­gic about the first frost of au­tumn, when you are still out on the wa­ter. It’s a bit­ter re­minder that with the rapidly fad­ing sun, win­ter is ap­proach­ing. This past Oc­to­ber, Lisa Ni­neoaks cap­tured that mo­ment per­fectly af­ter a trip up to the Kingston City Ma­rina on her 25-foot Parker. She braved the brisk Oc­to­ber northerly on the Hud­son River the day be­fore, spent the night in Kingston (about 100 miles north of New York City), and cap­tured this im­age the next morn­ing on the way back down to the boat.
