There is something nostalgic about the first frost of autumn, when you are still out on the water. It’s a bitter reminder that with the rapidly fading sun, winter is approaching. This past October, Lisa Nineoaks captured that moment perfectly after a trip up to the Kingston City Marina on her 25-foot Parker. She braved the brisk October northerly on the Hudson River the day before, spent the night in Kingston (about 100 miles north of New York City), and captured this image the next morning on the way back down to the boat.
