Thomas H. Mur­phy


PAW­TUCKET — Thomas H. “Henry” Mur­phy III of Paw­tucket died on Jan. 28, 2017. He was the beloved hus­band of Nancy C. (Brule) Mur­phy. They had been mar­ried 55 years.

He was born in Paw­tucket, the son of the late Thomas H. Mur­phy II and Martha (Man­ley) Mur­phy. He was a United States Army Vet­eran. Mr. Mur­phy was em­ployed at En­gle­hard In­dus­tries for many years and a cook in area restau­rants.

Be­sides his lov­ing wife Nancy, He is sur­vived by his chil­dren; Michael Mur­phy of Seekonk; Shawn Mur­phy and his wife De­bra of North At­tle­boro; Colleen Lin of Paw­tucket; Carolann Fer­agne and her hus­band John of Pom­fret Cen­ter, Conn.; and Kyle D. Mur­phy of Seekonk. He also leaves his two sis­ters, Nancy Bar­rett of Lin­coln and Melissa DosSan­tos of Cum­ber­land. He had 12 grand­chil­dren and three great -grand­chil­dren. He was the brother of the late Dennis Mur­phy and the fa­ther of the late Daniel Robert Mur­phy.

He touched ev­ery­one’s life with kind­ness and in­cred­i­ble sense of hu­mor. He loved his fam­ily, an­i­mals, and na­ture. He would of­ten head for the beaches dur­ing ma­jor storms, just to see the power and beauty of na­ture up close. Some­times you could find him play­ing in the snow with his many grand-dogs. He reached out and helped any­one in need. He loved ev­ery­thing about life, fam­ily and friends. It is with great sad­ness we de­part.

The fu­neral ser­vice for Thomas Henry Mur­phy will be Wed­nes­day at 10 a.m. in the MAN­NING-HEFFERN FU­NERAL HOME 68 Broad­way, Paw­tucket. His call­ing hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the fu­neral home. Mr. Mur­phy’s burial will be with full Mil­i­tary Hon­ors in the Rhode Is­land Vet­er­ans Ceme­tery, Ex­eter.
