CUMBERLAND – A silver alert put out Wednesday by the Rhode Island State Police for an 80-yearold local man had a positive outcome when he was found early Thursday on foot in North Attleboro.

Cumberland Police reported Arnulfo Ledesma, a resident of Autumn Villa senior residence on Diamond Hill Road, was found by North Attleboro Police in good condition at about 12:30 a.m.

State Police had issued the silver alert notifying the public of a missing senior at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and a motorist driving in Attleboro apparently saw Ledesma walking along a road in that community and reported what she observed to the police, according Cumberland police.

Sgt. Lamoureux said Ledesma was “just walking” at the time and was not believed to have been in a motor vehicle prior to being found. “It was a perfect outcome, it couldn’t have been any better,” the Cumberland police sergeant said.

It was not known exactly how far Ledesma may have walked during the time he was away from the Villa but Lamoureux said the location he was found at was about four to five miles away in North Attleboro. Autumn Villa is an open campus home where residents can come and go, Lamoureux noted.
