Cracker­bar­rel Fair con­tin­ues this week­end

WRENTHAM — The fam­ily en­ter­tain­ment con­tin­ues this week­end as the 37th an­nual Cracker­bar­rel Fair re­sumes at the Wrentham De­vel­op­men­tal Cen­ter fair­grounds (off Shears Street).

The Fair runs from noon to 10 p.m. to­day and Sun­day, Sept. 17, from noon to 7 p.m.

There will be teth­ered hot air bal­loon rides and photo op­por­tu­ni­ties througout the week­end. Sun­day is bracelet day, which means all rides are just $25, from noon to 6 p.m.

As in past years, there is live mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment each day. Fea­tured to­day is the South­east­ern Mas­sachusetts Com­mu­nity Con­cert Band, from noon to 2 p.m.; the Isles Vibe Band, from 2 to 5 p.m..; singing and piano by Alisa Musto (Miss Mas­sachusetts 2016), from 5 to 7 p.m.; and mu­sic by Jodi Thomp­son from 7 to 10 p.m.

Buf­falo Wild Wings will also be a part of this year’s fair. They’ll be host­ing a blazin’ wings chal­lenge (not for the faint of heart) this af­ter­noon at 3. On Sun­day af­ter­noon, there will be a dance per­for­mance by Show­case Dance Pro­duc­tions, a lo­cal dance com­pany that will en­ter­tain chil­dren of all ages. Also pro­vid­ing mu­si­cal en­ter­tain­ment will be the Berk­shire Val­ley Boys Band, from 2 to 5 p.m.; and BC and Com­pany will round out the week­end en­ter­tain­ment.

Through­out the fair, there will be hayrides (pulled by an an­tique trac­tor) and op­por­tu­ni­ties to en­joy a va­ri­ety of food booths. The 4H Club will also be hav­ing var­i­ous agri­cul­tural ex­hibits, in­clud­ing crafts by lo­cal ar­ti­sans.

There will be pony rides all day to­day, an­i­mal shows and air-brush pain­ters through­out the week­end. The ever-chal­leng­ing and fun 5K road race will be held this morn­ing, be­gin­ning at 9. Snacks and re­fresh­ments will be made avail­able courtesy of The Tav­ern. Don’t for­get to at­tend one of the largest flea mar­ket sales in the lo­cal area, bright and early this morn­ing, be­gin­ning at 10. Tonight’s fes­tiv­i­ties will wrap up with fire­works at 9:45 p.m.

There will be a $3 park­ing do­na­tion to the Wrentham Lions and Friends of Wrentham, Inc.
