NORTH SMITH­FIELD — The 11th An­nual North Smith­field Great Pump­kin Fes­ti­val will be held to­day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine, on the grounds of North Smith­field Mid­dle School at 1850 Prov­i­dence Pike.

The mu­si­cal lineup for this year’s fall event in­cludes many fam­ily-friendly acts such as Mr. Row­land Mu­sic Man; On Stage One “Louie Likes it Hot,” Clas­sic Rock, Rhythm & Blues 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., fol­lowed by ‘Char­lie Marie’ a coun­try solo artist from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. On Stage Two, “Jesse Liam Band” will en­ter­tain with pop­u­lar mu­sic from the Everly Brothers and Bea­tles to the cur­rent charts in­clud­ing Ja­son Mraz, Train, Bruno Mars

For the 2nd year the Pump­kinFest has in­cluded a Car Show with an­tique and ex­otic cars, which is en­joyed by young and old. As al­ways, lo­cal small busi­ness re­tail ven­dors and non­profit or­ga­ni­za­tions will be pre­sent­ing their best foods, lots of free games, dunk tank, crafts, ac­tiv­i­ties, as well as the Bub­ble Guy and BoBo the Clown will be re­turn­ing.

This year’s Pump­kin Fes­ti­vals will have a theme of “SAFTEY” …Home, Fam­ily and Self; to ac­com­plish this we have ob­tained, with the help of the N.S. Po­lice De­part­ment, The R.I. Po­lice Com­mand Cen­ter for demon­stra­tions. We will also have demon­stra­tions of the crash dummy test­ing and the N.S. Fire De­part­ment will have its Fire Safety House avail­able for view­ing, many ser­vice ve­hi­cles will be in our Toucha-Truck.

Ad­di­tion­ally, there will be a Pump­kin Carv­ing/Dec­o­rat­ing Con­test, with prizes to be pre­sented at the first an­nual N.S. High School Pump­kinFest Bowl game to be held against Cen­tral Falls.
