WOONSOCKET — The Mount St. Charles girls ten­nis team has re­bounded from an 0-4 start to reach .500 af­ter dom­i­nat­ing South Kingstown, 7-0, Fri­day in a Divi­sion I con­test.

No. 1 sin­gles player Is­abella Cop­polino posted her most im­pres­sive vic­tory of the sea­son with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Tay­lor Colbert, while Ju­lia Kin­n­ear, Sa­her Arora and Katie Koller com­bined to drop just 11 games in their straight-set vic­to­ries.

Mount St. Charles (4-4 Divi­sion I) dom­i­nated the No. 1 and No. 2 dou­bles matches, while Alex Wy­att and Piper O’Con­nell posted a three-set win at No. 3 dou­bles.

The Moun­ties are back in ac­tion Tues­day at Smith­field.

Woonsocket rolls past Cen­tral

WOONSOCKET — Woonsocket No. 4 sin­gles player Lil­liana Kouki posted a three-set vic­tory, while the Villa No­vans also re­ceived sin­gles vic­to­ries from ju­nior Holly Le­tourneau and Bri­anna Tsou­va­los to earn the Villa No­vans a 5-2 Divi­sion III vic­tory over Cen­tral at Alysworth.

Woonsocket (3-5 Divi­sion III) also re­ceived vic­to­ries from the No. 2 dou­bles team of Emily Flan­nary and Kara Richer and the No. 3 dou­bles team Tianna Car­pen­ter and Rushie Vi­lane.

The Villa No­vans visit Paw­tucket’s Vet­er­ans Park Mon­day to take on St. Raphael.

Panzo wins; Tigers cruise

PAW­TUCKET — Shea sopho­more Sophia Panzo was the in­di­vid­ual star in Fri­day af­ter­noon’s in­tracity show­down with Tol­man, but the Tigers won the other six matches to se­cure a 6-1 Divi­sion III vic­tory at Slater Park.

Panzo, who is un­de­feated in Divi­sion III this sea­son, posted a 6-0, 6-0 vic­tory over Fa­tou Samb. The win­less Raiders host Hope at Duffy Courts Mon­day.

Tol­man (2-6 Divi­sion III) re­ceived a three-set vic­tory from Jui­lene Se­quen over Erike DaCruz at No. 3 sin­gles, while Sarah Col­son and Shania DaLomba also picked up sin­gles wins. Tol­man hosts Sc­i­t­u­ate Mon­day.
