When Tom reviewed XCOM 2, he concluded, “We’ll play this forever.” For Firaxis, it seems, that wasn’t long enough. War of the Chosen adds enough new systems that it risks bloating an already-sizeable, varied campaign. This impacts the pace of play, but makes up for it through the quality of the additions. Turn the page to learn more. If forever is too much of a commitment, some more manageable games are also worth your attention. LawBreakers and Nidhogg 2 are great ways to entertain yourself for a few rounds, and The Darkside Detective and West of Loathing are both quirky indie comedies.
