Tory Burch embraces female empowerment with her latest campaign.

As an international fashion and lifestyle phenom and CEO of her eponymous billion-dollar company, hometown darling Tory Burch is no stranger to success. But she knows part of being successful is helping others along the way. Armed with a new campaign and accessories collection through her foundation, Burch wants to inspire women to chase their dreams, just as she did when she launched her colorful label from a New York City storefront in 2004.

That was the thinking behind the Tory Burch Foundation that she founded five years later. Its goal? To empower female entrepreneurs to keep fear of failure at bay and eschew the cultural mores and stigmas that are often put upon ambitious women, and give them the tools and confi- dence to go for their goals.

“Women in business face many challenges,” says Burch. “One of the biggest may be that we have internalized the harmful double standard that exists around ambition, which is often perceived as negative in a woman, yet is seen as a positive in a man.”

And what better way to stay inspired than with some new wristwear? As part of the campaign, Burch is selling Embrace Ambition bracelets available in six different colors at her King of Prussia boutique. All of the proceeds benefit the Tory Burch Foundation. “If we are truly to achieve parity in the workplace,” says Burch, “we have to own our bold ideas, celebrate our aspirations, and embrace ambition.” King of Prussia Mall, 610-337-2565; toryburch.com

Tory Burch launched her foundation in 2009 to inspire the next generation of female entrepreneurs. In the years since, the designer’s passion project has spawned mentoring programs, a coffeetable book, and partnerships with the White House.

Burch’s Spring/summer 2017 collection was inspired by her preppy- chic Main Line roots. ABOVE: Tory Burch Embrace Ambition bracelets ($50 for two).
