3 in­jured, 3 ques­tioned in Sher­aden shoot­ing

Three peo­ple, in­clud­ing a 4-year-old girl, were in­jured in a shoot­ing Satur­day af­ter­noon in Sher­aden, Pitts­burgh po­lice said.

The in­ci­dent oc­curred about 3:40 p.m. in the 3200 block of Hux­ley Street.

City po­lice spokes­woman Sonya Toler said the cir­cum­stances were not im­me­di­ately clear.

She said the 4-year-old girl was shot in the head but was alert and talk­ing when medics took her to Chil­dren's Hos­pi­tal of Pitts­burgh of UPMC.

A wo­man was shot mul­ti­ple times and was taken to Al­legheny Gen­eral Hos­pi­tal. A man was shot, but had only mi­nor in­juries.

All three had been sta­bi­lized at hos­pi­tals, Ms. Toler said.

Three men were in cus­tody and were be­ing ques­tioned.

City po­lice also re­sponded early Satur­day when two peo­ple in a ve­hi­cle were shot near Ben­nett and Tokay streets in Home­wood.

A 29-year-old man shot in the back and a 28-year-old wo­man shot in the arm were hos­pi­tal­ized in sta­ble con­di­tion.
