Dahlem leads Upper St. Clair to a wild win

Ethan Dahlem found the end zone after a 10- yard scramble with 6: 18 left in the game to lift Upper St. Clair to a 42- 35 victory over Moon in the Allegheny Six Conference.

While Dahlem secured the victory with his legs, it was his arm that did most of the work throughout the game. He completed 18 of 28 passes for 362 yards and five touchdowns with no intercepti­ons. Top target David Pantelis hauled in seven passes for 187 yards and three scores. Aidan Besselman caught three passes for 85 yards and a score, while Mateo Cepullio grabbed six passes for 74 yards.

Dahlem’s touchdown passes covered 38 yards to David Pantelis, 8 yards to Luke Banbury, 51 yards to Besselman, 65 yards to Pantelis and 32 yards to Pantelis.

Banbury was a two- way standout, as he anchored the defense for the Panthers ( 42, 3- 1). Banbury had a game- high 14 tackles.

Moon ( 3- 3, 1- 3) has dropped three in a row after a 3- 0 start to begin season.

Pine- Richland 59, North Hills 13: Cole Spencer was on target and the Rams had no trouble with the Indians in the Northeast Conference. Spencer connected on 10 of 14 passes for 258 yards. He fired two touchdown passes with no intercepti­ons. The Rams ( 5- 0, 4- 0) held a 21- 0 advantage after the first quarter and built that lead to 45- 0 by halftime. Pine - Richland racked up 502 yards of total offense while allowing 115 yards to North Hills ( 2- 4, 2- 2). In rushing yardage alone, the Rams picked up 206 yards while holding the Indians to 14 yards.

Peters Township 45, Bethel Park 7: Logan Pfeuffer completed 8 of 10 passes for 181 yards and three scores for Peters Township ( 5- 0, 4- 0) in its Allegheny Six Conference rout of the Black Hawks ( 0- 6, 0- 4). The Indians bolted to a 21- 0 lead in the first quarter and cruised to a victory. It was the third time this season that their defense held an opponent to fewer than 10 points.

Penn Hills 27, Fox Chapel 7: The Indians ( 3- 3, 3- 1) put together back- to- back wins for the first time this season by beating the Foxes ( 2- 4, 2- 2) in the Northeast Conference.

Penn- Trafford 64, Connellsvi­lle 28: The matchup between the top team in the Big East Conference against the bottom team went as expected, as the Warriors ( 4- 1, 30) breezed past the Falcons ( 0- 6, 0- 4). Ethan Carr carried the ball six times for 103 yards and scored on runs of 30 and 22 yards. He also returned an intercepti­on 32 yards for another score. Cade Yacomelli also powered the run game with 101 yards on 12 carries.

Franklin Regional 27, Latrobe 14: Colton Johns ran for 105 yards on 15 carries for Franklin Regional ( 4- 2, 2- 2) as it hung on for a Big East triumph against the Wildcats ( 2- 3, 1- 2).

Kiski Area 55, Shaler 22: The Cavaliers ( 2- 3, 1- 3) halted a three- game losing streak by thumping the Titans ( 0- 6, 0- 4) in the Northeast Conference.
