WASHINGTON ST over Oregon St by 20
Our best guess is that Madison, Wisconsin never looked so good to beleaguered Beaver boss Gary Andersen who is just 7-20 SU in his twoplus seasons in Corvallis after winning 19 of 26 with the Badgers. Heck, we wouldn’t be surprised if Andersen longed for his days in Logan, Utah (26-24 with Utah State) where his Aggies frequented the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. Certainly, we’re not about to back a team that is 0-2 SU, ATS and ‘ITS’ versus fellow FBS foes this season, or whose only win was a 35-32 verdict over FCS Portland State as a 26.5-point favorite in which they lost the stats by 126 yards. However, our hands our tied (and not in a good way) today in Pullman as star QB Luke Falk left last week’s game in the 3rd quarter with a concussion and did not return. Yes, the Cougs rallied from a 21-point second-half deficit to top the Broncos in triple overtime and HC Mike Leach says Falk is doing ‘really well’ (but the last time we checked, Leach was a mad scientist and not a doctor). So until we learn of Falk’s status, we’re forced to sit this one out (though Leach would probably start him if he had anything short of gangrene). Your call, for now.
