OAKLAND over NY Jets by 7
To their credit, the Raiders overcame overwhelming support the OTHER way in last week’s season opener against the Titans. Often the popular public team in 2016, and like last year when they won SU as road dogs at New Orleans in the season opener, Oakland silenced the lambs when they did the same at Tennessee last week. Today, though, they dress up in wolves’ clothing, sporting a record at home after facing the Tennessee Titans, as well as a mark following a SU underdog win when facing a sub .500 foe. Meanwhile, the lowly Jets fly into the bay off last week’s loss at Buffalo with a 5-2 SU and 6-1 ATS log following a division game in this series. The Flyboys are also 5-3 SU and 6-1-1 ATS away in Game 2 of the season the last 8 years. Hence, it’s no surprise to find the Raiders fall to as favorites in home openers today.
