Appalachian St over UMASS by 8
It’s looks like clear sailing for App State (5-2, 4-0) from here on out as the Sun Belt’s best steps out of conference to take on a slug in UMass off its first win of the season before closing out league play against four teams who own a combined 9-17 record. Granted, it’s not the best scheduling spot for the Boone boys who are focused on winning or sharing a second straight conference crown but every win on their resume only makes their bowl case that much stronger. Our database certainly finds this nonconference clash ‘App’etizing as the Mountaineers are 11-0 SU and 8-3 ATS as road chalk over the last three years, including 3-0 SUATS against foes off a win. That should be all you need to know but just in case you left room for desert check this out: the Minutemen are 0-17 SU and 4-13 ATS as dogs against foes off a double-digit win, including 1-7 ATS at home. Eat up. And in this case, it’s more than OK to fill up on the App’s.
