Central Michigan over KENT ST by 21
Having scored less than 20 points in all FBS games this season, the impotent Kent State Golden Flashes haven’t done much post-game smoking. In fact, putting the Golden Flashes’ offense in the Red Zone – where they rank dead last in the nation – would be like recasting Kevin Spacey in a remake of ‘American Beauty’. And though laying significant double-digits on the road with a Central Michigan team that has already punched a bowl ticket and has little chance of winning the division isn’t our cup of tea, we can only look the Chips’ way tonight as the Flashes are 3-38 SU and 11-27 ATS in games in which they fail to score 24 points under soon-to-be-departed head coach Paul Haynes. CMU’s 4-1 SUATS record in LRG’s (Last Road Games) as well as a sterling 14-5 SU and 15-4 ATS mark away from Game Six out the last six years, including 2-0 SUATS this season, provides additional support. Thus, we say lay it and play it as we’re not about to step in front of Central’s current 3-0 SUATS streak with a Kent club that has shown no Flashes of offense under Haynes for the fifth straight year.
