FLORIDA over Uab by 8
Just to gauge how far the Gators have fallen, the Blazers would have been 30-point dogs in this game at the start of the season. It’s also a testament to how far the Blazers have come. UAB has now won five of their last six games (the only loss by one point), and are 4-1 ATS against the SEC when off a SUATS win. HC Bill Clark has done a nice job of bringing this program back from its 2-year absence and is now 14-6 ATS in all games at the school, which rewarded him this past week with a contract extension through 2023. Meanwhile, the Gators are in trouble right now and interim HC Randy Shannon is not the answer. The coaching search continues in Gainesville, with the school taking a strong look at Chip Kelly, but keep in mind that they cannot discuss the future with Dan Mullen or Scott Frost until those two complete their successful seasons. Editor’s note: Conservative Dan is not your man. Meanwhile, the Gators will be making a change at starting QB for the fifth time this season, going back to Feleipe Franks after Malik Zaire went down with a knee injury. Florida will be home for the holidays for the only the second time since 1990, and speaking of Shannon, he is 6-14 ATS as a home favorite as a head coach. No thanks here, either.
