MEMPHIS over Smu by 7
Talk about domination: the Tigers are 3-0 SUATS in the last three meetings, with a combined score of 162-17! Memphis holds a 1-game lead on Houston atop the AAC West with the tie-breaker in hand, but also owns a 3-9 ATS mark as conference home favorites of more than 6 points. This is a tough call but our allegiance would be with the hard-trying Mustangs against an often-defenseless pack of Tigers that has surrendered season-high yardage on three occasions this year. And keep in mind that the Mustangs are vastly improved this year and are as dogs of more than 10 points since last season. Sophomore QB Ben Hicks has had a big year, throwing for nearly 3,000 yards and 24 TDs versus just 7 interceptions. Congrats to those who bet the SMU game before Saturday as the Ponies fought back from a 30-11 halftime deficit to cash a ticket against Navy in a 43-40 loss at the wire. More of the same today.
