VIRGINIA over Ohio U by 11
The Cavaliers are still looking for an identity under head coach Bronco Mendenhall, who is 62-19 SU at home in his career but only 6-8 SU at Scott Stadium since arriving in Charlottesville two years ago. After rushing for 301 yards against Richmond in a season-opening win, the Cavs managed just 294 total yards last week at Indiana, but dual threat QB Bryce Perkins accounted for 229 of them. Bronco needs this game to get on the plus side of the ledger before entering a tough slate: 8 of the next nine games are against foes that had winning records last season. Meanwhile, the Bobcats are coming off a bye week after being out-yarded 645-425 in a 38-32 win over Howard in the season opener, but things could have been worse. HC Frank Solich yanked starting QB Nathan Rourke after a shaky first quarter and his replacement, Quinton Maxwell, threw for two TDs and ran for two more to engineer the comeback. Unfortunately, we just can’t trust the Greenies after watching them give up 439 passing to Cam Newton’s little brother, Caylin. Even scarier is the fact that MAC teams are
the last thirteen games against ACC foes. Pass.
