- PRIZE FOR AMERICAN HISTORICAL FICTION

Michele Moore of Charleston, South Carolina, won the 2016 David J. Langum Sr. Prize for American Historical Fiction for her novel The Cigar Factory (University of South Carolina Press). She received $1,000. The annual award is given for a work of historical fiction published in the previous year that “helps to make the rich history of America accessible to the general reader.” The next deadline is December 1.
