Midge Goldberg of Chester, New Hampshire, won the 2016 Howard Nemerov Sonnet Award for “Tennis Practice Against the Garage Door.” She received $1,000 and publication of her poem in Measure: A Review of Formal Poetry. Rachel Hadas judged. The annual award, cosponsored by the Formalist, is given for a sonnet. The next deadline is November 15.
